Data Preparation

VerticalExpert provides you support to prepare the data you need to bring to the new system. While the responsibility of this activity lies with the client, VerticalExpert provides you support in identification and also the needed templates. This data would include your master data, trial balance and open invoices data. The Client is responsible for making available the resources for this activity in a timely fashion.

Configuration, Set-up and Implementation

Once the needed data is available, the system configuration/ set-ups are done and, data imported in the new system to complete the implementation process.

User Training

The training is a very focused and detailed activity intended to train the users on usage of the software package. The training will cover the following broad areas:

Usage of the new system for which the target audience is the user champions and the key users from various functional groups of the client

Administration and Maintenance of the new system for which the target audience is the systems personnel of the client

VerticalExpert Technologies adopts the ‘train the trainer’ approach wherein once the key Client users are trained; they can provide subsequent trainings to the rest of the users in the same functional areas. The number of days of training budgeted is based on our experience and mentioned in the proposal document. Any additional training requirements of a client are taken care of as a separate activity.

User Testing and Acceptance

The users are expected to test the system for their primary business processes and outputs. This testing is recommended to be done on basis of their own data and set up. During such testing, it is important to ensure that the entire business scenario is represented on a smaller scale and the results are tallied with those from the old system.

At the end of this stage, a formal project sign-off is expected from the client to mark the end of project.

Go-Live and Hand-holding

The new system is taken live and hand-holding provided on need basis.
